DIRECTOR OF LITURGY AND MUSIC (SAGINAW)
Full time Director of Liturgy and Music at St. John Vianney Parish, Saginaw, Mich. St. John Vianney is a vibrant, faith-filled community of 800 families. The successful candidate should have both vocal and keyboard skills. A working knowledge of pipe organ is preferred, but not required. Education and/or experience in both Liturgy and Music is desirable. Responsibilities include: planning and preparing weekend Liturgies, funeral and wedding Liturgies, as well as Sacramental, children’s, Lenten/Easter and Advent/Christmas Liturgies. The candidate will also develop cantors, instrumentalists and choirs (youth, resurrection, and adult). The successful applicant will have strong organizational, administrative and budgeting skills, be an integral part of a small but dynamic staff and be a good motivator. This position will begin on July 1st, 2008.
