Whether you’ve been away from a parish community for a long time or if you got in the habit of viewing Mass or other liturgies online during the COVID 19 pandemic, the doors of the parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw are open.
While you may hear the words of Scripture and pray and read in your own home or while outdoors, there is nothing that replaces the spiritual union of receiving Jesus in his Body and Blood at Mass.
Going back to church and participating in Mass is not all about the building itself - the stained-glass windows or the colorful vestments or the flickering candles or the statues and artwork. It is about the community of believers coming together for the greatest gift of our lives – that of Jesus giving himself to us in a very profound way in the Eucharist. You are invited to join – or rejoin – that connection of faith whether you have been away for a few weeks, a few years or decades.
