Divine Mercy Sunday Celebration

Throughout the world Catholics will be celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday, which is the Sunday after Easter Sunday—April 12 this year. Special graces have been promised by Jesus on that day to those who participate.

This special day will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Ithaca, 121 Union St., from 2-4 p.m. It is sponsored by our CAFÉ (Catholic Adult Formation and Education) Committee, with representation from St. Paul the Apostle and Nativity of the Lord Parishes. The celebration will include Eucharistic Adoration, Sacrament of Reconciliation, readings about St. Faustina and the Divine Mercy message, and music. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy will be sung at 3 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend the service and the potluck which follows in the parish hall.
