Deacon Adam Maher will be ordained to the priesthood on Friday, June 1.
"I'm ecstatic about my upcoming ordination," said Deacon Adam. "I'm most excited about being with the parish family and community. I can't wait to meet the people of Our Lady Consolata Parish where I will serve as Parochial Administrator starting in July. I have a mighty task ahead of me, as a first-year priest of a parish with four churches. God has given me this great faith that it's all going to work out." Regarding his call to the priesthood, Deacon Adam credits the prayers of so many people to whom he says, "My vocation is the fruit of your prayers. I'm excited to lay my life down for Jesus and for all of you. Your prayers have been preparing me for this. I feel your prayers."

Deacon Adam also has a message for young men about the priesthood. "It's a joyful ministry. Jesus wants to fulfill all of your desires. He will give you joy and happiness. The priesthood involves sacrifice, just as marriage involves sacrifice. Is it worth it? Absolutely!"
