All of the priests in the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw are brothers. It doesn’t matter your age or where you are from, if you are a priest of the Diocese of Saginaw you are one of the brothers. And the Diocese of Saginaw Priests’ Retirement Association serves all the priests.
Fr. Matthew Gembrowski was ordained two years ago and is our youngest priest. Fr. Richard Jozwiak was ordained almost sixty-six years ago and is our eldest priest. They are brothers in this presbyterate, and they are friends. Fr. Richard retired twenty-four years ago and has been receiving benefits from the Retirement Association ever since. Fr. Matthew has many years of parish ministry ahead of him, but he too will receive benefits from the Retirement Association when he retires.
Your gift to the Father’s Day Collection for the Diocese of Saginaw Priests’ Retirement Association helps to provide retirement benefits to priests retired now and ensures that all the priests who will retire in the future will be able to count on those benefits to help cover their living expenses in retirement.
Thank you for your support and God bless you!
Father Peter Gaspeny
President, Catholic Diocese of Saginaw Priests’ Retirement Fund
A special collection for the Diocese of Saginaw's Priests' Retirement Fund takes place on Father's Day weekend (June 14/15). Your parish should have received fliers for this week's bulletins and information for announcements, etc. Please see the flyer here. Parishioners have envelopes for this collection in their regular envelope packets. As in the past, checks are made payable to the parish, and the parish will in turn send collected funds to the Diocese. If you have not received these materials, please contact Geri Rudolf at 989-797-6679 or grudolf@diosag.org.
