Saginaw, MI – The Most Reverend Robert D. Gruss, Bishop of Saginaw, has issued a decree outlining the implementation of Pope Francis’ Apostolic Letter Traditionis Custodes within the Diocese of Saginaw. The decree, effective immediately upon publication on the diocesan website, establishes guidelines for the celebration of the Eucharist using the 1962 Missale Romanum.
In accordance with Traditionis Custodes, Bishop Gruss has received a dispensation from the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments to allow the continued celebration of the Traditional Latin Mass at Holy Family Parish in Saginaw. This dispensation is granted until September 8, 2027, subject to specific conditions.
