Diocese of Saginaw Migrant Pantries to open in May

The year 2025 is upon us and continues to unfold. Our journey through this Lenten season calls to pray, fast and give alms. Easter is nearby! Let us again imitate Jesus in His love and care for God’s people, especially the poor, the vulnerable, the marginalized, and the strangers among us. Donations to our migrant pantries benefit those farm workers already here, and those who will soon be arriving in Michigan. These workers are a big part of all those that do the essential work needed to help feed our nation.

Some migrant workers have nothing but each other, some clothes, and their faith in God, and yet, are filled with gratitude. It is good to put things in perspective. We are so grateful to all for the charity and prayers that you continue to extend to the needs of our neighbors.

The Diocese of Saginaw’s Migrant Ministry programs are not possible without help from people like you. We have two active Migrant food pantry locations:

  • All Saints Parish, St. Boniface Church, Bay City
  •  Our Lady Consolata Parish, St. Agatha Church, Gagetown

The two flyers listed below, one for Bay City and one for Gagetown, detail a donation wish list that helps provide for the needs of these families. You may drop off the listed food and clothing items beginning the first week of May. There are also instructions on how to drop off donations or make a monetary gift.

Send monetary donations anytime, to: Catholic Diocese of Saginaw Office of Multicultural Ministry 5800 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 48603. Make checks payable to the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw with “Migrant Ministry” in the memo line.
