Updates from the Saginaw Diocese as of January 24, 2026. Chris Pham introduces a new Diocesan family member, Kelly Hadd who will take on the role of Vicariate 1 Liaison and Coordinator for the Marriage and Family Life Ministry. The current issue of Great Lakes Bay Catholic is out and showcases narratives about retreats focused on healing for parents who are grieving the loss of a child as well as the harrowing tale of a Ukrainian family fleeing conflict. Catholic school students across the diocese of Saginaw are participating in the nationwide Catholic Schools Week celebration from January 25th through the 31st. This year's theme is Catholic Schools United in Faith and community. Students, families, and staff are going to participate in service projects, special masses and fun school activities. Upcoming Diocesan activities include a First Friday Mass celebrated by Bishop Gruss, an evening dedicated to healing, and a mass intended for atonement for victims of abuse, everyone is invited.
