Faithful gather for annual Misa de los Campesinos (Farmworker Mass)

On Sunday, migrant farm worker families joined Father José Maria Cabrera and Deacon Larry Gayton from the Office of Multicultural Ministry of the Diocese of Saginaw at the annual Misa de los Campesinos (Farmworker Mass) which took place this year at St. Boniface Church (All Saints Parish) in Bay City. As part of the Mass, Father José also baptized two children.

After Mass, the faithful gathered for a generous meal hosted by the parish and the Office of Multicultural Ministry. Many families also brought food to share. In addition, in conjunction with Little Books of the Diocese of Saginaw and the Mission Office, bibles, crosses and religious items were distributed. Local barbers also donated their services and offered free haircuts.
