Message from John Gonzalez, director of communications, Diocese of Saginaw
Dear Friends,
As we journey through the Diocese of Saginaw's Year of the Holy Spirit, I have been inspired by the faith and commitment of those who have faithfully participated in our monthly speaker series.
Since we began in June, we've reflected on topics such as the Holy Spirit in Sacred Scripture, the Early Church, the lives of the saints, and most recently, the Holy Spirit in the life of Mary. More importantly, we've gathered as fellow disciples seeking a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit and a renewed openness to God's work in our lives.
One thing has become very clear: many of you keep coming back month after month. That tells me something important. The Holy Spirit is moving.
I would love to hear your story.
How has the Year of the Holy Spirit impacted your life? Has the Holy Spirit led you to a new insight, healing, relationship, prayer practice, ministry, or greater trust in God? Has a particular speaker, topic, or moment touched your heart in a meaningful way?
We're looking for personal testimonies that can inspire others throughout our diocese. With your permission, your story may be featured in an upcoming episode of our diocesan podcast and/or in the award-winning Great Lakes Bay Catholic magazine as we continue sharing the fruits of this special year.
Your story does not have to be dramatic. Sometimes the Holy Spirit works in quiet but profound ways. We would be honored to hear whatever the Lord has been doing in your life.
If you are willing to share, simply email us and tell us about your experience. We may follow up to learn more. Please include your cell or telephone number.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Please know of my prayers as together we continue to pray:
"Come, Holy Spirit."
