Bishop Robert Gruss has named Michael Beaudoin chief financial officer for the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw. As CFO, Michael will be responsible for supporting the ministry of the Bishop of Saginaw and overseeing all financial matters and decisions affecting the overall mission of the diocese. Michael will also serve on Bishop’s Mission Leadership Team in determining long-range planning and priorities and will be the bishop’s representative to advisory committees including the Diocesan Finance Council.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in Goodwell, Oklahoma and is a certified public accountant. In an accounting and professional finance career that spans over 30 years, Michael has led and managed many teams in all areas of financial practices resulting in strategic growth and process improvements for several for-profit entities, including General Electric.
“We are very excited about Michael becoming part of our Chancery family,” said Bishop Gruss. “Besides his financial expertise, Michael brings a heart for Christ’s mission, and I look forward to working very closely with him as he begins his ministry among us. Let us pray for Michael and Carmen as they begin their new life in the Diocese of Saginaw.

Michael and his wife, Carmen who is a nurse, are looking forward to being in Saginaw and finding ways to serve the community. They have 4 children, 3 daughters and a son, ranging from 26 to 29 years of age. Michael has two other sons, aged 41 and 43, and two grandsons aged 8 and 14.
Michael and Carmen will be relocating to the area from Texas as Michael transitions to his new role effective September 30, 2024.
