The Year of the Holy Spirit, as proclaimed by Bishop Gruss in the Diocese of Saginaw runs from Pentecost 2026 to Pentecost 2027. This is a special time dedicated to deepening the faithful’s relationship with the Holy Spirit—the third person of the Holy Trinity. This year we invite individuals and parishes to rediscover the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in their lives, to rekindle the gifts received in Baptism and Confirmation, and to embrace the Spirit’s guidance in continuing Christ’s mission. Through prayer, discernment, and parish events, the diocese seeks to foster spiritual renewal, unity, healing, and a renewed commitment to living out the Gospel, recognizing that the Holy Spirit transforms and animates the Church, making Christ present in the world.
Monthly Speaker Series to Explore the Holy Spirit
As part of the Diocese of Saginaw's Year of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Robert Gruss invites the faithful to deepen their understanding of the Third Person of the Holy Trinity through a monthly speaker series beginning in June 2026 and continuing through May 2027.
This yearlong journey will explore the presence and power of the Holy Spirit throughout Sacred Scripture, the life of the Church, the sacraments, prayer, evangelization, family life, the saints, and the call to holiness. Each presentation led by local, regional and national speakers will offer practical insights into how the Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, heal, and equip believers for mission today.
All talks are from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Center for Ministry
5802 Weiss St, Saginaw, MI 48603
A livestream link will be available for each presentation. Those who cannot attend in person are encouraged to gather in small groups in parishes and homes to watch as a community.
