As All Souls Day approaches, local clergy and lay faithful share presentation on honoring deceased loved ones, faith in times of grief and more

On Sunday, Nov. 1, we celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints followed by the Commemoration of All Souls on Nov. 2.

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Father Jose Cabrera (photo above), Father Andy Booms, Deacon Stanley Kuczynski, Larry Rodarte, Lori Becker, Peg McEvoy and Mark Graveline all took part in an online presentation entitled "Why do Catholics Celebrate All Souls' Day?"

The presenters discussed ways to honor deceased loved ones, the blessing of faith in times of grief and the meaning of All Souls’ Day. They also shared stories and experiences of All Souls’ Day in Mexico, Poland and Peru.
