Bishop's Charity Ball Honors Two Women as Missionary Disciples

SAGINAW — The annual Bishop's Ball drew more than 500 guests, one of the largest groups of attendees in recent years, to the event on April 28 at Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw.

Hosted by Bishop Joseph Cistone, the evening was a joyous occasion for the local faith community to celebrate all that is done across the 11-county Diocese of Saginaw to continue the evangelizing mission of Jesus Christ.

During the ball, Bishop Cistone presented the 2017 Bishop Murphy Award to Leona Jones, a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Parish in Reese, and Patricia Murdock, a parishioner at Holy Name of Mary Parish in Harbor Beach, in recognition of lifelong service to the Church as missionary disciples.
