Father Todd Arnberg's Funeral Mass to be celebrated on Friday, June 14

Funeral details

Visitation will take place one hour prior to Mass. Father Arnberg's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14 at All Saints Parish, St. James Church, 710 Columbus Ave., Bay City. Father Bill Rutkowski, Vicar General, will preside and Father Charles Hammond will be the homilist. Priests of the Diocese of Saginaw will concelebrate the Funeral Mass. The Rite of Committal will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery.

Obituary

Father Todd Arnberg, a priest of the Diocese of Saginaw, died on May 8, 2024 in Aurora, Colorado.  He served generously as a priest for more than 47 years. Father Arnberg was known for his outgoing and jovial personality as well as his love for the Hispanic community. An obituary by Father Charles Hammond is available here.

Father Arnberg was born on April 3, 1949 in Colorado Springs, Colo. He is the son of the late Howard and Elizabeth Arnberg. Father Arnberg received his elementary education at Cheyenne Grade School and St. Paul School in Colorado Springs, Colo. He received his secondary education at Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. He began his priestly formation at St. Mary University in San Antonio, Texas. Father Arnberg studied philosophy at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. He studied theology at Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, Texas.  

Father Arnberg was ordained to the priesthood on May 15, 1976 by Bishop Thomas Ambrose Tschoepe at Mary Immaculate Church in Farmers Branch, Texas.  

Father Arnberg served in parishes and Catholic high schools in several cities in Texas and also in Mexico.  

In the Diocese of Saginaw, Father Arnberg served at St. Philip Neri, Coleman; St. Anne Edenville; Immaculate Conception, St. Charles; St. Mary, Albee; and St. Isidore, Parisville and St. Patrick, Palms. Father Arnberg was incardinated into the Diocese of Saginaw in the early 2000s and became a senior priest in 2019 and retired in Colorado.
