On August 4th, the Memorial of St. John Vianney (the patron saint of parish priests), let's take a moment to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the priests who strive to live their lives in the spirit of this holy saint. St. John Vianney was known for his deep devotion, his unwavering faith, and his tireless efforts in serving God and His people. Likewise, our priests play such an important role in guiding us spiritually, offering guidance and support during both challenging and joyous times. They work tirelessly to bring us closer to God through the sacraments, homilies, pastoral care, and their roles as teachers and leaders within our communities. Their daily sacrifices often go unnoticed or are underappreciated, but today is a special opportunity for us all to come together and say thank you. So let's express our gratitude for their dedication, compassion, and selflessness in imitating St. John Vianney's example as they continue to shepherd us on our own spiritual journeys.
