30056887224 fb0c64e66a kROME- Oct. 31- Ninety travelers from Mid-Michigan, along with the Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, Bishop of Saginaw, enjoyed the final day of their Italian pilgrimage today. As usual, the day included Mass with Bishop Cistone. Bishop Cistone received over 3,000 prayer requests, written on over 1,000 cards. Each day, these prayer cards were present during Masses where pilgrims prayed for family and friends back home and many other prayer requests.

Annette O'Brien, who helped to organize the pilgrimage, described the group's visit to St. Peter's Square yesterday, saying, "The high point of this day was our trip to St. Peter's square to obtain Pope Francis' blessing for us, on the religious goods we transported, and a blessing to be taken home to our loved ones."

Tomorrow, the pilgrims will begin the long journey home to Michigan having visited Venice, Siena, Assisi, and Rome.
