Selection of Events Taking Place During Catholic Schools Week 2022

Throughout the week, students from Auburn Area Catholic School will gather books, toys and other items to be shared with children who are currently hospitalized. 

Sunday, Jan. 30

Students from St. Mary School in Alma will sing in the choir and serve as lectors and altar servers during Mass.

Students from St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic School in Midland will serve at Mass. 

Monday, Jan. 31

Students from Nouvel Catholic Central Elementary and Middle School and Nouvel Catholic Central High School in Saginaw will participate in the local Synod which aims in part to improve the Church's ministry both locally and throughout the world. 

Students from St. Joseph the Worker Catholic School in Beal City will gather for a prayer service. 

Students from St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School in Reese will decorate food boxes to be given to the needy. 

Students from All Saints Central Elementary in Bay City will raise money for St. Jude's Children's Hospital by participating in a math-a-thon.  

Tuesday, Feb. 1

Students from Our Lady of Lake Huron School in Harbor Beach will learn about media safety and write thank you notes to city officials.

Students from St. Brigid of Kildare Catholic School in Midland will join Bishop Gruss for the celebration of the Mass. 

Students from Auburn Area Catholic School will create a collage which celebrates the Catholic faith.

Wednesday, Feb. 2

Students from St. Michael School in Pinconning will exercise and also pray the Rosary for the nation. 

Students from St. Mary School in Alma will make cards to be given to local nursing homes and businesses. 

Students from All Saints Central Middle/High School in Bay City will join Bishop Robert Gruss for the celebration of Mass and will also participate in the local Synod, which aims in part, to improve the Church's ministry both locally and throughout the world.

Students from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant will participate in the local Synod, which aims in part, to improve the Church's ministry both locally and throughout the world. 

Thursday, Feb. 3

Students from All Saints Central Elementary in Bay City will make cards for the seminarians of the Diocese of Saginaw. 

Students from Our Lady of Lake Huron School in Harbor Beach will listen to a talk about vocations from the Sisters of Our Mother of Divine Grace and will also join Bishop Robert Gruss for the celebration of Mass. 

Students from St. Michael School in Pinconning will gather for School Mass and each class will also honor a person who has helped the school. 

Students from Nouvel Catholic Central Elementary and Middle School will create a rosary and learn a new prayer.

Students from St. Mary School in Alma will participate in a career day with local businessmen and businesswomen. 

Students from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant will write thank you cards for healthcare workers. 

Friday, Feb. 4

Students from St. Elizabeth Area Catholic School in Reese will join Bishop Gruss at the Cathedral for First Friday Mass and lunch. 

Students from Nouvel Catholic Central High School in Saginaw will pause throughout the day to pray together using P.A. system.

Students from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant will decorate their classroom doors with a saint including information about the saint.

Students from Sacred Heart Academy in Mt. Pleasant will participate in the Catholic Quiz Bowl.
