First Friday with Bishop Gruss
Come celebrate the monthly gathering, known as First Friday with Bishop Robert Gruss. Mass begins at 11:00 a.m. and takes place at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Ave., Saginaw. ALL ARE WELCOME to attend Mass without registering. Following Mass, you are invited to join Bishop Gruss for a meatless lunch at noon and an informal presentation. Due to limited seating of 150 in the Lower Level of the Cathedral, please register if you plan to attend the presentation and lunch.

Ablaze - Diocesan Confirmation Retreat
All current youth in the Purpose Confirmation Program (year 1 & 2) are invited to our Diocesan Confirmation Retreat for powerful talks, fun, worship, Mass, and Adoration. This retreat is not required to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, but a powerful opportunity to encounter Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Lunch and dinner will be provided. Please bring completed permission slips to the retreat for the youth participants. All adults must be VIRTUS compliant prior to the retreat. The parish will be billed for the total number of participants.

Mass of Atonement for Victims of Child Abuse
The Mass of Atonement is based on Scripture: “If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it.” (1 Corinthians 12:26) Bishop Gruss unites himself with those who have suffered child abuse and neglect, in particular with those who have suffered child sexual abuse by clergy.
All are welcome to attend the Mass.

Evening of Healing with the Divine Physician
Join Bishop Gruss and Priests from the Diocese of Saginaw for an opportunity to encounter Christ's healing mercy at an Evening of Healing with the Divine Physician!
The evening begins at 4:30 PM with Confession. Bishop Gruss will celebrate Mass at 6:00 PM, followed by preaching on healing by Father Adam Maher at approximately 7:00 PM.
There will be Exposition, peaceful praise and worship time in Adoration, a Eucharistic Procession where Bishop will bring Jesus in the Eucharist to every pew.

World Youth Day 2027: August 1 - 9, 2027
World Youth Day is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience Mass with Pope Leo, worship, inspiring talks, and Adoration while surrounded by over a million young Catholics. This pilgrimage is for young adults, parish leaders, and 16+ high school juniors and seniors with a parent or guardian. The cost includes airfare, 4-star lodging, transportation, daily breakfast, WYD meals, and registration fee (up to $250). A $500 deposit is due at time of registration.
The deadline to register is February 15, 2026.
