World-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima will be visiting parishes across the Diocese of Saginaw this July

The world-famous International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Fatima will be visiting parishes across the Diocese of Saginaw this July, with the blessing of Bishop Robert D. Gruss. The statue is recognized as a primary way the message of Our Lady of Fatima – a Church-approved 1917 apparition of Mary in Portugal – is spread throughout the world. The tour is being organized by the Saginaw Division of the World Apostolate of Fatima (formerly known as the Blue Army).

It can be used by anyone because it is rooted in the act and art of meaningful conversation, which is an essential element of our humanity, but also combined and elevated with the most vital, life-giving of all subjects, Jesus Christ.

THE EUCHARIST AND THE BIBLICAL MANUSCRIPTS

The Eucharist has a central role in the Christian life. As Catholics, we are accustomed to actively experience the Eucharist as it has been handed down to us by the living tradition of the Church. The Biblical manuscripts also bear witness to the importance of the Eucharist in the life of the Church. In this summer Scripture seminar, we will see what the Eucharistic passages of the Bible look like in the pages of ancient, medieval, and even modern manuscripts. Fr.
