Sister Agnes Mary’s ministry began in the classroom, where she quickly found joy in nurturing young minds. Her first year on mission was spent teaching first grade at St. Mary’s School in Saginaw.

Sister Dorena Gonzalez, OP, who served in Saginaw, dies at 92
Theresa Gonzalez was born on October 15, 1932, in Saginaw, Michigan, the third child and first daughter in a family of twelve children. Her parents, Jose Maria and Manuela Almaguer Gonzalez, had migrated from Mexico and built their lives in Saginaw.

Office of Catholic Schools Winter 2025 Community Update
Dear Catholic School Community, I hope that all of our Catholic school students and families had a great Catholic Schools Week (Jan. 26 to Feb. 1). It was a blessing to visit with students, staff, faculty and school communities across the diocese. Personally, the highlight of the week was being able to facilitate the opportunity for all of our schools to join together in prayer.
