The Eucharist and the art of asking questions
It caught me off guard when my 8-year-old child recently asked: “Dad, doesn’t it get a little weird for you when you think about drinking the blood of Jesus at Mass?”

Christ's mission is our mission
Christ’s Mission Appeal supports essential ministries. When looking back on the past fiscal year, it seems it has gone by quickly—yet we have accomplished so much. Every week, we are doing more and serving more people within the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw. When I say “we,” it refers to all of us.

YES encourages youth to “get their feet dirty” and serve
Youth Encounter Service is a week-long service project in June, where high school students serve those in need. Over the last three decades, hundreds of students have helped thousands of people in the area. The beauty of YES is that teens confront poverty that’s in their city, their own backyard.

Beg! Form! Call!
My brothers and sisters in the Diocese of Saginaw, the Lord Jesus wishes to fill us with his riches! He has not stopped loving us. He has not left the Church. He continues to raise up men and women as his faithful disciples. He continues to call us to holiness. One of the riches he wishes to bestow upon us is an increase in vocations to the priesthood and the religious life.
