The Diocesan Lay Ministry Formation is a four-year process that offers the participant an opportunity to live into their baptismal call. Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish invites you to Tenebrae: The Service of Shadows, on Friday, April 3 at 8:00 pm. Tenebrae is a candlelight service of contemplative music, prayer, and scripture that brings Good Friday to a quiet close. Come and join as we reflect upon Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross through the profound symbolism of light and darkness.

Our mission is to unleash faith and hope through the healing presence of Christ and our vision is to offer every soul in the diocese of Saginaw an opportunity to encounter Christ's healing mercy. We are entering our fourth year of offering these healing encounters with Christ and you are most welcome to participate in the entire evening or whatever portion works with your schedule.

Throughout the world Catholics will be celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday, which is the Sunday after Easter Sunday—April 12 this year. Special graces have been promised by Jesus on that day to those who participate. 

Safe Environment training is required for all diocesan, parish, and school employees and volunteers in contact with minors. All are welcome. Please arrive 10 minutes early to sign in to ensure the on-time beginning of the presentation. 

Join the Nouvel Catholic Central Panthers when they take the stage to perform Shrek the Musical. 

It is a junior version, which is the perfect length for the entire family. All shows will be held in Nouvel's Performing Arts Center. Shows will be Thursday, April 16th at 7 pm, Friday, April 17th at 7 pm and Sunday, April 19th at 2 pm. Tickets and more information is available on the website.

This workshop features presentations by trained marriage facilitators, practical couple exercises, private discussion and prayer. At the conclusion of the workshop, you will receive a certificate of completion to copy and give to your parish. The cost is $90 per couple and includes lunch. The deadline to register is April 8, 2026.

This tour will be focused on Contemporary Bibles. From year 2000 to present time.
