Join Fr. Jim Bessert's pastoral care training for priests/deacons/lay ecclesial ministers and all laity involved in the pastoral care of the sick, including a roll out of the new edition of the USCCB pastoral care ritual book which is obligatory to use as of Easter 2026.. This will be a valuable workshop for anyone involved in the pastoral care of the sick and the dying. The Saturday, March 21, 2026 workshop begins at 9 am at the Center for Ministry and concludes at noon. There is no cost for this workshop. Register via Eventbrite link or call 989-797-6662.

Bishop Robert Gruss is encouraging the faithful to join him in a Holy Hour for vocations. He’ll be in two parishes across the diocese each month.

Bishop Gruss will be bringing with him a relic of St. John Vianney, the patron saint of parish priests, for veneration (learn more about what veneration means here: https://saginaw.org/veneration).  

The Diocesan Lay Ministry Formation is a four-year process that offers the participant an opportunity to live into their baptismal call. Living this call in today's world is even more important and having the foundation to do so is vital. If you are interested in more information, please attend the upcoming informational meeting. Our mission is to unleash faith and hope through the healing presence of Christ and our vision is to offer every soul in the diocese of Saginaw an opportunity to encounter Christ's healing mercy. We are entering our fourth year of offering these healing encounters with Christ and you are most welcome to participate in the entire evening or whatever portion works with your schedule.

Throughout the world Catholics will be celebrating Divine Mercy Sunday, which is the Sunday after Easter Sunday—April 12 this year. Special graces have been promised by Jesus on that day to those who participate.
