Vocations Day

The Diocese of Saginaw hosts an annual Vocation Day for tenth grade students. The event helps teens learn
more about what a vocation to priesthood, religious life, and holy matrimony is about, and how to begin a
path of listening for God's call. Students from the three Catholic high schools in the diocese participate in
the day’s event, which is sponsored by the Vocations Office.

Vocations Day for 10th Grade Students

The Diocese of Saginaw hosts an annual Vocation Day for 10th grade students. The event helps teens learn more about what a vocation to priesthood, religious life, and holy matrimony is about, and how to begin a path of listening for God's call. 10th grade students from around the diocese participate in the day’s event, which is sponsored by the Vocations Office.

Cost:  Free to all who attend (lunch provided)

Lenten Mini-Retreat: The Spirituality of the Martyrs in Everyday Life

Join Dr. Katherine Milco for a unique mini-retreat on how the spirituality of the martyrs can enrich our
daily lives as Christians. Dr. Katherine Milco is a native of Saginaw who graduated from Marquette
University with a triple major in Classical Languages, Theology, and Philosophy. She went on to receive
her Ph.D. from the University of Chicago after completing a dissertation on the great early martyrs, Saints
Perpetua and Felicity. She served as an Adjunct Instructor at Marquette from 2007 to 2017, and now teaches

Marriage Preparation Workshop

A one-day workshop for couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage. Topics include: marriage as a
sacrament, communication, conflict resolution, marital intimacy, family of origin, marital spirituality.
Workshop is conducted by a team of professionals and married couples.

Lenten Retreat: Jesus - The Way of Beauty

All women and men are invited to this three-day retreat which will help us grow in intimacy with Christ
through an experience of music, art, literature, and the Saints. Jenny Klement is a Catholic recording artist
who has led retreats and performed her music throughout the United States. A singer and songwriter whose
music has been featured on national television, she has released two music CDs entitled "Reflection" and
"Grace is Falling." She is also the creator and founder of the Mother’s Prayer Companion. LeAnne Osborn

Holy Hour

Since January 2012, the Most Rev. Joseph R. Cistone, former Bishop of Saginaw, traveled to
different churches throughout the diocese to lead Holy Hours before the Blessed Sacrament. You are
warmly invited to join him in praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we strive to do God’s will in
our local Church.

Catholic Professionals' Breakfast

Catholic professionals are warmly invited to join Fr. Bert Gohm in exploring concrete ways to grow in our ability to forgive others and receive God's forgiveness. A hot breakfast will be served, and there will also be time for discussion and questions. Fr. Gohm is a senior priest of the Diocese of Saginaw, and currently serves as a sacramental minister at St. Agnes Parish in Freeland.

2019 Saginaw Catholic Men's Conference

Men of the diocese are invited to attend the annual men's conference, featuring Father Don Calloway, a
dynamic national presenter, who is a member of the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate
Conception of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary. Presented by the Catholic Men's Fellowship of Saginaw.

Cost: $25 for advance registration; $30 if paid at the door (lunch included); free admission for priests, religious, and young men under 21.

Catholic Women's Fellowship

All women from around the diocese are invited to gather at the Center for Ministry for prayer, faith
formation, guest presenters, discussion, and fellowship. No registration needed…just come!
